Pastor Aaron StrangeMy name is Aaron Strange and I am the Youth/Discipleship Pastor here at New Hope Wesleyan. I am a graduate from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in youth ministry. I am outgoing and energetic with a strong passion to see teens accept Jesus as their personal Savior. I can’t help but be a bit of a goofball sometimes however I treasure the moments when I can be a witness to the outreach, growth, and development of teens in their personal spiritual walk with Jesus Christ. I truly enjoy developing creative games, skits and videos to emphasize the points of the message and bring it to life for the youth.
I am also married to the love of my life, Alison Lindsay Strange. She has a deep love for music, has an amazing talent for the piano, and the Lord has blessed her with a beautiful singing voice. She has a real gift when it comes to developing relationships with the teens and is a fantastic support for myself in the ministry. Alison and I are eager to be used for His kingdom and to build up the body of Christ. Teens have always held a special place in my heart because of all the things that they have to go through in this stage in life. Even though it is a time where everything changes it also is a fantastic time to grow in God and to be able to develop a strong foundation that will strengthen, encourage, guide, grant wisdom, and give peace for the road ahead. During this time (especially in today's age) teens are tempted to fall into traps of the world such as peer pressure, selfish desires, and putting ourselves first before anyone else. It can definitely be tough to be a teenage Christian and many people won't make it easy for them, but when they give their hearts to God and trust in His leading, He has this way of unlocking such potential and purpose that can fill us all with this joy that can't help but be expressed in our own lives. We will Unite with Jesus in our hearts and continue to bring Him glory until the day where we can Unite with Him in Heaven. In October 2021, I had the privilege to become the Community Center Director in addition to my other roles in the church. With our church having the amazing opportunity to open a Community Center, our desire is to use this building as a tool to partner with different leaders and organizations to better the community of Hornell. |
