Knowing Jesus Equals Change...
Discipleship is extremely important to have a full and flourishing relationship with Christ. We desire nothing more than to be used by God to help everyone achieve a deeper love and relationship with Christ. Our CONNECT GROUPS are how we grow together in discipleship.
Hebrew 10:22-25 says this: "Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
We strive for three things that are seen in that passage: To ENGAGE in a group with a sincere heart eagerly focusing on how to fall more in love with Christ. To ENCOURAGE each other toward the love of God and toward the example of good deeds that Jesus left a perfect example for. To ENCOUNTER the Holy Spirit's work within us both in and outside of our Connect Groups and Church. As we continue to sharpen each other we become stronger for the trials of everyday life and are able to meet them knowing we are not alone, that we can overcome all through Christ, and we can be the lights in this world that God has called us to be.
